An important part of our business is the strong relationship we enjoy with the veterinary profession. It’s important to us to make sure that we are providing the right kind of support to vets in practices of all sizes.
In December 2005, Petplan commissioned an independent research study to find out how we’re doing and to see what else we could do to help support vets. We thought we’d share the results with our customers!

629 practices kindly agreed to take part in the survey and telephone interviews were conducted amongst vet staff, including senior partners, practice managers, nurses and receptionists.
The results showed that satisfaction levels for Petplan amongst surveyed practices are extremely high, for example:
- 93% display Petplan leaflets in their practice
- 90% are satisfied with the way we handle claims
- 90% felt that Petplan provided good levels of cover
But despite these pleasing results, we won’t be resting on our laurels! The results of the survey, combined with the day to day conversations we have with vets and practice staff, all help indicate how we can improve our service to vets and ultimately to yourselves!
