Insurance cover for puppies from 6 weeks old
Petplan, the UK’s leading pet insurance provider, has changed its Instant Puppy Policies. The free cover notes can now be issued to new owners of puppies from the age of 6 weeks old.
Petplan Instant Puppy Policies offer 6 weeks free insurance to new owners so breeders can ensure their puppies leave with the best financial protection. If anything were to happen during the ‘settling in’ period, the new owner is able to get the best care for their new pet.
Petplan has also increased the benefit levels on the cover notes to offer even more protection to new owners. Cover benefits are now:
- Up to £4000 for the veterinary fees resulting from illness or injury
- Up to £750 for loss by theft or straying
- Up to £750 for death from illness or injury
- Up to £200 for advertising and reward if the puppy is lost or stolen
Margi Salih, Breeder Channel Manager for Petplan says: “We are really pleased to offer a more comprehensive product to the customers of our breeders. The first weeks in a new home is very exciting for both puppy and owner, and a puppy can get into all sorts of mischief. The increased benefit levels mean that, with a Petplan cover note, the new owner is financially protected if an accident happens or the puppy becomes ill.”
